Here's the widget for my new single, "Unleashed".
Now for the dramatic story while you listen...
I was supposed to release this on Tuesday. However, after uploading the master audio file to one of online my distributors, I found a problem with the file once it was downsampled for streaming play. Basically, it sounded like ass in the streaming players. So, I had to get back with the mastering engineer to resolve the problem and get a new master. This pushed my release to today.
Last night while I was getting all my online ducks in a row and finishing final tweaks to the new website, my mom was admitted to the hospital for complications due to her failing liver. Her sodium levels were dangerously low. So, I ended up spending the night in her hospital room. I got maybe 3 hours sleep and didn't get home until after 9AM.
All patients on the transplant list are given a score that determines who gets the next available organ. Today my mom's score whet up a few points. The good news is that she's now at the average score for receiving a new liver in Illinois. The bad news is that the score is high due to supply and demand such that you're pretty close to complete failure at that point. We're hoping she gets a liver ASAP.
My new cause: sign your donor cards...just saying.
